What offset did you use???? I was looking into the 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear for my 8, but wasn't sure of the offset.
Would an 18 x 8.5 wheel with a 30 offset work for the front? and
Would an 18 x 9.5 wheel with a 38 offset work for the rear?
These are the standard sizes. Otherwise they would have to be special ordered.
TIA
Rob

i instal 19x8.5 et42 front and rear becaus the distribition of the weigt on the car is 50% on the fron and 50% on the rear and you have to respect it. sow in japan they instal the same tire on the fron and rear!

Now I'm really confused. I talked to someone at the Tire Rack who said thay I can go with the 18 x 9.5 with the 38 offset for the rear. The BBS LM that they sell for the RX8 comes in that exact offset. For the front I would definitely NOT be able to run the 8.5 with the 30 offset. He said that I can run an 18 x 8 in the front with a 35 offset. I'm more confused than ever What negative effects would there be from running an 8" wide rim in the front and a 9.5" rim in the rear?
Thanks.
Edit: Nevermind. Saw some pics of 18 x 8's with the 35 offset on all four corners. With the 9.5 and 38 for the back it will stick out too much for my liking. I'm gonna order the 5Zigens instead. Thanks.

You can get their Special Brilliant Coat in 18" in 5x114 pattern. It's a chrome-like paint finish.
