Mazdaspeed Shocks/Springs
Anyone any comments on these. Notice a lot of people talking about the springs by themselves, but has anyone gone for the full kit yet?

I ordered MazdaSpeed springs and shocks last Friday. I went w/ M/S since it will only lower the car .75 inch or so.
I probably install them early next month. I will let you know how I like the set up once I have them put on.

I just got my Mazdaspeed shocks and springs installed last weekend and had a chance to drive around w/ new set up.
Drop isn’t too low which I like. Using the good ol’ finger gap between tire and fender method, at the front, the gap is little less than 3 fingers and little less than 2 fingers at the back. I am guessing the drop is about 0.7 inch front and back and will drop little bit more after they settle.
The ride isn’t harsh but I can feel the road surface little bit more. When I first got the car, I noticed that RX8 has more body roll than what I am used to (2000 BMW E46 328i with after market sway bars). Now the RX8 w/ M/S suspension corners flat!! The stock RX8 handles good too but now with less body roll, the car gives you more confidence! (not that I will take corners at crazy speed lol)

The two things contributing the most to reduced body roll are the springs and sway bars, and then it would be bushings and last shocks... The shocks are just damping the rebound and initial compression not much more than that... Shorter stiffer springs will by themselves always reduce body roll because there is less spring to compress and it is more resistant to compression, the sway bars will reduce this further while allowing you to not have to go to a much stiffer spring in order to maintain some comfort...
