Lug nuts

I've done some research and found out that Titanium cracks too easily and the cracks can become unknown to a user, hence tires falling off at the track.

What about aluminum Lug Nuts and their durability?

Will they take the heat and cold, heat and cold and the sideway pressures put on them when your on a track?

The answer is maybe. Like the OEM lug nuts will not fit the Kosei K1 TS wheel. It takes a nut (so called "tuner" nut) that is smaller in diameter. If you order wheels, have the dealer give you the appropriate nuts.

I had to put aftermarket lugs on my Stern wheels. I am looking to get Kyokugen aluminum lug nuts on my car, but I can't find anyplace that has chrome 1.5" x 12mm.

Hey Fanman, I still don't get that your OEM lugs does not fit your Sterns. I have the same wheels now, and my OEM lugs fit just fine. Pics will come in soon, just getting my car dropped with Tein H springs. I wonder if RX8power bought new lugs for his wheels or just used the OEM lugs.

Don't know, but that is what the guy who sold me the rims told me. It's cool though as the aftermarket lugs are chrome so they fit nicely with the rims.

Kyokugen claims they are "race lug nuts" so I would assume they are made to take the pounding, but I haven't gotten them yet.

Stainless galls easilly. It wouldn't be practical to take them off and on often. Also Stainless is brittle and I'm not sure if it would take the beating fram a track.
However a Stainless Alloy nut would be alright. The light weight would be there without the galling and brittleness issues. I just don't remember who make them.
