lowest offset?

whats the lowest offset we can fit , can we pull off 18x8.5 33 offset in the front and a 18x9.5 35 offset in the rear?

Lower offset just means they'll "stick out" more. The rears aren't the problem.

OEM wheels are offset 50mm. A 33mm offset in the front wheel will move the outer edge of the wheel 17mm outward - plus an extra 1/4 inch for the wider wheel (8 to 8.5 means 1/4 inch wider on each side)

As a result the outer edge of the front wheel will be just shy of 1 inch (.92 inches) further to the outside than stock.

I would personally try to stay as close to 50 as I could going only as low as 45 just to be safe - but that's just me. I KNOW 18x9.5 with a 45 offset will fit all four corners perfectly.

BigOLundh 05-31-2006 10:31 PM

Mikeluvs8 06-01-2006 03:32 PM

lazi whats the specs on your advans? how bout 18x8.5 33 or 35 offset in the front, and 18x9.5 30 offset in the rear? would it look weird will it even fit?

Mikeluvs8 06-01-2006 03:52 PM

the lowest offset i've seen on a 8.5 is +22. lowest on a 9.5 is +34

is this on a 8?

SiLVeRE8 06-02-2006 01:13 AM

will a 18x9.5 with the offset of 22 fit at all? it seems kinda weird to me though. i dont know the answer and about to buy rims. need help quick thank you!!

IZoomZoomI 06-02-2006 01:40 AM

22 would stick out too much. Then again anything will fit with fender work and very aggressive camber. But you would go through tires like I go through shoes.

9.5 you want to do something like +40,42,45

that is still too low mine is +38 is front and +35 is rear.

lazi 06-02-2006 02:39 AM

i have a 4 inch lip as well which im happy with =)

Mikeluvs8 06-02-2006 02:45 AM

so a 38 offset in the front is the lowest i can go? what about the rear 30 wont fit?

lazi 06-02-2006 03:48 AM

i wouldnt say its the lowest. im sure u can go lower. and for +30 in rear. won't be flush from my knowledge i wouldnt recommend it

Dro 06-02-2006 08:18 AM

Fat girls are great, what with their low self-esteems and such.

KAtC10 06-02-2006 11:49 AM

How would 17x9 +40 fit?

Mikeluvs8 06-03-2006 03:43 PM

has anyone tried a 18x7.5 in the front and a 18x8.5 in the back, to get lower offsets??? wouldnt that work pretty good?

i got 25 in the rears..on 9.5

you can go lower even..depending on the camber, tire profile and fender rollage..
id highly recommend it.. if you like an aggressive look

NgoRX8 06-04-2006 05:03 AM

Damn

Mikeluvs8 06-05-2006 12:37 AM

you can go lower even..depending on the camber, tire profile and fender rollage..
so you got your fenders rolled. what are the specs on your rims and tires.

crystaloptik 06-11-2006 12:08 PM

whats the widest you can go without getting your fenders rolled with 40 offset tires on 18's?
