Looking for Opinions on this Wheel
Does anyone have these (Volk Progressive TE) and do you think they would look great on my WWP? I had initially thought of buying something in black or gunmetal with a polished/chrome lip.

Power!!
A bit "rollin' on dubs" bling for my taste. If you like it though go with it. I think it's definitely unique.
Of course you're getting an opinion from a guy who thinks the stock wheels are perfectly fine and spent his money on suspension bits.

The 19x8's are 21 lbs. I wasn't that fond of the tabs either, but I like the spoke design. I really like the Axis Hiros and the Volks on ocrapitzleon's car, but I was wanting to veer away from the wheels that other people have. A seller on ebay has the Progressive TE's for $2,099 BIN. Its a bit more than I am "wanting" to spend for wheels (especially without tires), but I figured if I held out a little longer I could find them cheaper.

I wondered how chrome/polished would look against the white. I agree about black over the gunmetal and was even looking at the Axis Super Hiros but I did not like that they do not have a polished lip. I also didn't care much for the colored trim. (I did just notice that they have a white pinstriped lip available also, so that may not look too bad). That, and these are quite a bit cheaper than the Volks.

they are nice, but the yellow wouldnt match unless you have a yellow 8, which you dont, . but personally, i look for lower weight rims, like 17 or 18 lbs, especially if you are spending that kind of money.

As for the Super Hiros w/ the white stripe, I thought they would look pretty nice, but the drawback w/ them is the fact that the lip isn't polished and I think it takes away from the depth of the wheel. I didn't want to buy a "deep dish" wheel if it is hard to distinguish it due to the mono-black. I thought it would "need" the polished lip to offset the depth in appearance. I guess I'm just picky about stuff.
Anyways, thanks for the feedback, it is truly appreciated.

Trust me, I definitely don't let people make my decisions for me; however, I do like getting some different opinions on things from time to time. It helps w/ making the decisions especially if people have severely negative things to say about the quality of products. As for appearance, it is sometimes hard to judge how wheels will look on a car unless they are on the car. I bought a set of wheels for my RX7 last year and I thought they would look great, but once I put them on I was a bit disappointed.

And as far are tires are concerned, it's a safe bet that I'm staying away from B-stone. The car only has 11k miles on it and these tires (rear) are driving me nuts. More than likely I'm going to go w/ G-year F1 or something else that has a better treadwear rating.
