Looking for the darkest black rims

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. Looking for a little help. I'm not the type to want to tune up my car. But, I do want to get new rims and maybe exhaust at some point. Just wondering if anyone knows of an 18" that is jet black and will fit without much or any modifications. I have seen some pictures with wheels so dark you can barely make out the design. I want that, I'm just not sure who sells them or makes them. This is for a Sunlight Silver, 6spd, with sport pkg.

If you're willing to spend the cash, Trussville has a BLACK CHROME wheel available, too. Really cool looking.

They're asking $662.34 PER WHEEL though, ouch. If I was a multi-billionaire, I think I'd be all over it. :D

I'm just in love with the look. Silver with black rims looks great to me. I'm not one for shiny silver or chrome.

Edit: Thanks for the link, Landon. Not exactly what I'm looking for though. I guess you would call it a matte (what I'm looking for) finish, not sure the term. The picture h0rde linked is what I am going for, just can't see the wheel to make out the design.

Trussville is nuts. It looks like the standard Mazda 18" with a black chrome finish on it. Charging way too much for that.

Two matte black rims that come to mind are the 5Zigen FN01R-C and the Black Racing Pro N-1. Both are available in 18" fitments that ought to work with RX-8.

Have you considered just having your stock rims powdercoated black as a less costly alternative? Just for fun, go over to the RX-7 forum and do a search on BATMAN - he has a black 3rd gen with powdercoated black rims (most recently SSR's) that's extremely pretty.

Failing all that, buy an issue of Sport Compact Car and check thru the ads. There are plenty of black painted rims out there.

Those are so cool lookin'. If I had a black or silver, or titanium, or yellow, or basically anything but red I'd probably consider it even with the psychotic price.

I.....can't.....stop.....staring.......

I'm considering get my rims powdercoated matte black if I can. I would like to get a staggered setup in a really dark black. I just can't find any 19" matte black.

Hi Nufan,

I just got a set of 19" racing hart CX alloys in graphite. They are very dark not black but still almost black, if you glanced at them you would say thet were black. Loook really nice, on sunlight silver these would look horn.

Dale.

I found a place to get my rims powdercoated here in good ol' Delaware. $90 per, now I just gotta find some blocks or something to prop the car on while the wheels are off. I'll stick with the normal rims for a bit, that will give me some time to decide on new ones.
