Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Looks like the Detroit area will be getting up to 6" of snow tonight! :D I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I've had my winter shoes on for 3 weeks now, and this will be the first time that I'll actually get to put them to the test. I messed around in an empty parking lot with about 1/4" of snow the other day, but that was hardly a test. There's so much salt on the roads around here that it's going to take a major storm to achieve the necessary hazardous driving conditions.
One thing that worries me, however, is ground clearance. Does anyone have experience testing the limit of the RX-8's ground clearance to snow? I have the front air dam, so I'd expect to have 1/2" or so less ground clearance than a stock RX-8. If we do end up with 6" of snow, will the car be drivable?
