last minute tein s question

I ordered the tein s online and I'm getting them installed tomorrow!!! They're green, and I have a nice red and black theme inside and out going on ... it's a good drop, so I imagine the springs themselves won't be visible, but can anyone comment on this?? If they are visible, has anyone tried to paint them?? Please excuse if this is a stupid questions...thanks in advance.

yes they will be visible if your looking at the gap at a close distance, but I don't think no one will really notice unless they are looking for it. But I guess you could powder coat them if it bugs you that much.

I never really notice it unless the car is jacked up.

Here's a fairly good-sized shot of my car. Do you see how the springs are gold? Neither can I . This is with Tein H-techs and Tokicos. If someone is looking for them they can see the springs, but to the casual observer (just about everyone other than your car-guy friends) they won't notice. That said, if you do have some concerns I don't see any reason you couldn't paint them or powdercoat them; paint would likely flake off eventually, but would probably serve its purpose for awhile.

Finally Done!!!

I got the tein s installed 2 days ago - the rear drop is about .5 inches. the front drop was only about .5 at first too. i was waiting for it to "settle" but got impatient and got some help from phil at dpe - best customer service i've ever had!!! he showed me what bolts to loosen while the car was on the ground and then retighten them (since they tightened the bolts while the car was on the lift) - the car dropped about .75 inches more immediately!! it looks like a perfect drop. going for a drive now to test it out, i'll post pictures tomorrow.

good decesion, i got my s-techs from dpe as well and didint have to do anything thought that the drop was perfect but when i got my wheels i had to switch them out for racing beat (less aggressive) and did the same procedue you mentioned of for the front so that the drop was acurate. i had a gret experiance with dpe as well.
