konis, where to buy

i think my stock struts are shot. i've been planning on upgrading to konis, i've just been putting it off b/c i'm broke. anyway, i got my tein s springs from dpe, his service and price were awesome. does anyone recommend a vendor for konis? do i have to watch out for fakes like the teins?

oh cool, i've seen a lot of posts for you but didn't know you carried those/could get them for us. that's more expensive than i realized they'd be (springs are CHEAP compared to shocks!!), but as soon as i can save up you'll be the person i pm. thanks guys.

Yeah springs are a bit simpler than shocks. They can still be screwed up mind you..ask me how I know. But all in all it's much cheaper and easier to make a spring than a shock.

damn, well now i have to decide whether i want the konis OR a cf trunk lid (i have rusted spoiler holes i'm tired of looking at!!) ......... it's hard to tell if i NEED them, but i feel like the ride has gotten a little worse - i'm just over 50k, about 12 or 15 of which are on tein s springs. i feel like my braking distance might be a little worse too, which i read can be a sign of deteriorated shocks...but damn my trunk looks stupid!

I'd prefer to get the shocks instead of the trunk, but from what I can read, you have a longer and more reasonable response as to what you really want but don't know of. If that makes sense, YAY! lol.

Springs whenever you want. They are meant to last the life of the car. Shocks...tough to say. Maybe 50K miles. sooner if you get stiffer lowered springs.

In my opinion. as soon as you get back from your first track day and realize what needs to be replaced first.
