At Discount Tire they said it was $548.08 for a set of 4 SPTs. Where are you going to go to get them mounted? I'm trying to decide between the SPTs and the Potenza RE050As.

I got the SPTs at Discount Tire for $590. That price included mounting, balancing, and full warranty.

Does that include Road Hazard? If it does, that's a good price.

The same tire at Tirerack is $85ea. + $40 shipping is about $383.
Add another $40 for Road Hazard.

I bought the SPT 245/40/18. It's slightly wider, but I gives me more contact surface.

I used to buy Road Hazard all the time when I ran tires 60,000 miles or so over 4 years. Now I run a set of Ultra-High Performance Summer tires about 24,000 in a year, and Road Hazard coverage at almost half the price of one tire doesn't seem like economical insurance any more.

BTW--I've run my SPTs about 13,000 miles now, and I couldn't be happier with them (although they cost me about $660 delivered and mounted--245/40 18)

Just for giggles, I looked at the Kumho rebate form. It looks like the deal is good until the end of the year. Hmm...
