Hub ring removal issue

I was swapping on my stock wheels today when I found the shop that put my new wheels on forgot to put anti-seize on the hub rings. It's now frozen on there and I'm wondering if anyone has any objectives to using some WD-40 to break them free. Is there a better way to do it?

Yeah I did. They're the aluminum rings that tirerack supplies. I'm guessing it might have gotten baked on by the heat. Anyway, I'll try some WD-40 tomorrow (after I pick some up), but I was wondering if anyone has any better methods.
