How to fix curb rash at home
I was just doing some google-ing and came across this pretty thorough step-by-step on how to repair curb rash at home. It's somewhat labor intensive, and you have to buy a number of materials, but it seems to come out well.

Considering most shops charge ~$150 a wheel, I was pretty impressed.

This method is quite good, but there really isn't a perfect paint match for our stock wheels like there was for the Porsche wheels with Wurth silver. Also, I'd recommend against masking off everything but the tire and would instead leave the entire wheel exposed and just blend. Or else, you got ridges at the place where you masked.

the best fix is don't rub the curb in the first place

And I've been contemplating for the longest to pick up a PC sander and polisher. Think Imma give this a try on my stockies, since I only use them for AutoX

Seems to me that it'd be a whole lot easier to take the wheel off the car before working on it, rather then masking the whole car and STILL being concerned with overspray....

Seems it's even better if the TIRE is off as well...

Keep looking, I'm sure there is a good match for the color, and realistically, it shouldn't be IMPOSSIBLE to track downt he paint code...

Nice thread. I may try this with my stockies over the winter. PO had some bad rash on them. Winter wheels go on this weekend as soon as they arrive.
