Hankook V12s or Gforce KDW2 (Update!)

Getting a set of 4 this week, 245/40/18, stock rims and ride height.

Dunno what to choose, as I read varying reviews about both. Suggestions?

The KDWs are going to run me like 30 per tire more so I am leaning to the V12s unless its worth the 30? Love the tread pattern on the KDWs although that doesnt matter in the end really

**Update, went with the KDWs and I LOVE THEM!!!!**

I want to start some autox this summer, nice canyon runs out here in So Cal. Daily driver, about 40 miles total a day.

I cannot make an unbiased response to your question but I know I will not be buying another set of V12 Evo's. The sidewall stiffness sucks and they wear far to quickly for my liking. I've driven on Falken RT-615's before so I know about fast tire wear and these were supposed to be far better... not so much.

I may just get the KDW's next.

Just my $.02 but I'm loving my Dunlop Direzza DZ101's. I've been putting them through their paces and i have to say I'm pretty impressed.

Kinda leaning at G Force. I have a friend who used to have these tires and they have better grip when cornering hard. My friend used to corner hard all the time.

BFG. Far better quality, there is no question about it. Pretty big jump in price as well. Dont expect to get more miles out of the bfg differences in ride quality and handling with be noted

FWIW, I'm not pleased with my V12's. They have very poor grip in the wet compared to the Bridgestone's and Michelin's I've used in the past. The sidewall is definitely softer but that doesn't bother me much. On the upside the ride is comfortable and they don't produce much sound inside the cabin.

Good Tires but have been discontinued as of last month. So if you swear by them, try fetching an extra set before they're all gone.

I had KDW2's on my Cts-V and really like them. Not sure how helpful that is since they're totally different cars, but the tires were great.
