gunmetal & polished lip OR gloss black & polished lip on Titanium Gray..

I'm looking for some pics of aftermarket wheels on titanium gray RX8's.

I'm picking up a titanium gray RX8 tomorrow from work, and the stock wheels are curbed just a bit. I'd like to replace them with some less expensive aftermarket wheels, and I cant decide weather or not I want to get some black or gunmetal wheels.

I would just keep the stock wheels on it, but the guy that owned the car before me did a number on them. I've been debating between MB motorsports Weapons in gunmetal at 18x9 +45, or Motegi DV5's at 18x8 +40 in either gunmetal with machined lip or gloss black with machined lip. I'd love to get a nice set of G-Games or volks, and probably will down the road, but I need something cheap to tide me over.

Other than the rims, the only other mods i'm planning on are tanabe NF springs and clear corners, maybe some strakes too.

What do you guys think? Post pics if you have a similar setup.

Thanks

gunmetal will match your gray.

I have DPK rims and the gunmetal in them are almost exactly the same as the Ti paint.

The gunmetal can change colors depending on lighting condition in the photos.. here's the same rims in the garage.

BTW DPK = Motegi.. .so assuming they use the same gunmetal paint on all their rims, it will look very nice on your Ti.

I prefer the gunmetal than the gloss black on that color combination.

Here's mine with DPK's finished in hyper black. It's basically a muted polished look. Not as blingy as full chrome. Very happy with them.

A flat black with a little bit of shine (like Rays wheels) would be best. Polished lip optional.

IMO gunmetal looks best on black or blue cars.
