Gram Lights 57Maximum or 57F? I can't decide! (poll)

I have been going back and forth between these two wheels for a while now and I simply cannot decide which I should get. In the ideal situation, I would get the Volk TE37s in white, but those are too cost prohibitive for me .

My two options are either the 57Fs that theRPMstore.com is selling @ $999 a set -- probably painted in gunmetal (+$200), or the 57Maximums in white from Tirerack.com @ $368 a wheel. The dilemma is to either pay more for a heavier wheel (~21.5lbs) that (IMHO for the most part) looks better on the car, or pay a bit less for a lighter wheel (17.8lbs) that I feel is a slight sacrifice in the looks dept.

In the near future I do plan on getting into some autocross action, so I don't completely know if the performance difference is all that it is talked up to be; this would be my first time as well, so I really just don't know what to expect at all. So please, help convince me out of this indecisiveness; which would you go with?

No; whitewater pearl. Those 57Fs are one hell of a deal, I must admit, but they just seem a bit sparse when on the car for some reason (lightweight, duh, but still...). I have seen some color combinations of the wheels that look great, however (silver on red or black).

it might be a longshot, but i was just thinking about how cool a red/black or blue/black time attack them would look on a silver. maybe too many colors though. if u look at my sig, you know that im biased towards the 57fs....lol
gl on then decision!

I think this is a no brainer. Cheaper and lighter? They look almost the same.

get the 57f and some nice slotted rotors, since you're going to be seeing through the rims

What color calipers? Also, those of you saying the 57Fs, would you agree that Gunmetal is the way to go on whitewater pearl, or maybe a different color? (options given from therpmstore are gold, silver, black, gunmetal). I did for a bit of time ponder getting them powdercoated, but that will be a bit pricier.

I've always been a big fan of white on white as I think it just looks killer. Having said that, I'm generally on the side of performance first, looks who knows where. However, if you're planning to only autocross for fun and generally would rather like style, I'd say get the 57 Maximums. I guarantee it'll look awesome whereas the 57Fs will just look decent, but will have a performance edge.

57F Gunmetal is the way to go on white, if those are your choices. Five spokes are prettier than 6.

Don't believe me? Your car can look like this:

I would ask rpm store if they can get it powercoated in white.

White on white rims are badass.

I'm a big fan of gold on white. That white on white above are two different shades. Thumbs down. Black on white is nice too.

According to http://www.wheelweights.net the 57F in 18 x 8.5 weights 20lbs. Who's got the wrong data?

Gram Lights 57F = 18x8.5_ET45__(18.5 lbs)... (Luke@Tirerack)

and found this on another forum

Actually the only 57F's that Gruppe-S has are 18x8.5 and 5x114.3. I noticed the they were mismarked same as these when I went to mount them. My Acura calls for 114.3. They all came off the the Nismo wholesale shipment that hit the U.S. which was intended for the Nismo Altima package overseas.

The 57Fs are the lightest Gram Lights right?

Since we're on topic, how much do the Volk CE28Ns, RE30s and TE37s weigh in the same exact size?

I know how to search, but obviously the numbers are wrong all over the place, so anyone have the real numbers?
