i actually have 245/40/18 on all four rims including the 8.5 and 9.5's, so it still feels pretty much the same. I had these tires on my stock rims and just switched them to the aftermarket rims. They are a little small for the 9.5's but they still work fine. I want to move up to 265 in the rear eventually.

rolling the fenders is pretty much bending in that extra lip in the inside of the wheel wells for more clearance for the tires. If you look on your car you will see what i mean. 265's are not crazy big but my car is almost 2 inches lower than stock. Right now with the 245's and the wider rim, i barly have any room in the back, so i wil have to roll the fenders in when i move up in tire size. The stock ride height will fit 265's fine though.

Like how the house matches... rx8_250f, do you have any problems with the front mud guards after lowering? Looks only like a couple inches there and then if you hang into a corner and ..... maybe scrape...?

rims look awesome. now if only you could get rid of that chrome fuel door, it'd be perfect.

Question, I'm looking to put some rims on my 8. My question is what is the advantage of going with 18" vs 19" and if I had a flat which will be the harder tire to get?

Thanks!

if you get a flat with an 18" tire, you'll be more likely to find a replacement at local tire shops than 19s.

also, having 19s usually means that there is less rubber between the rim and the road. so flats are more likely.

19s are heavier than 18s - a no no.

Im not sure how they go on because i had the wheels put on, but they are detachable because they were not on the rims when i got them.

But I have not had any problems with the tires rubbing and my fenders are not rolled. The tires are 245/40/18 all around but i plan on getting 265's in the back in the future. The 245's are a little bit small for the 9.5" rims in the back but they are alright for now.
Is it the angle of the shots or did those Sprigtech's lower you more in the Front than the Rear? My Tanabes and every other spring on this site have lowered equal amounts which leave a major gap in the front. Your is the best drop i've seen without using $ coilovers. Where can I get more info and prices on Springtech?
Nice car!

Nice car!
These springs are said to lower the car 1.75 inches front and back, but they may have lowered it more than that. I think it is pretty evenly lowered. I havent noticed it being lower in the front than the back, but if your saying that most other springs leave the front higher, maybe they do lower the front more. I got these springs off of ebay for around $100-$115 i dont remember exactly but they were pretty cheap. I havent seen them being sold anywhere else though. Im sure you can find a website with more information that sells them if you do a google search.

So far the springs have been fine. Ive had them for about 10 months now and they have been pretty much the same since i got them. Ive always thought that they were a little bit too low being about a 2 inch drop, which can get to be a pain with speed bumps and driveways, but overall there are no long term problems. The ride is good as well, even after 10 months.
