Fat red lips...

Ok.. I just got some new wheels with some fat lips....

I'm rocking a VR, and have been a fan of wheels with red lips for a long time. I kinda want to color-match them to the car. The problem is, I don't know how well, a red car would look with color matched lips. If my car were white or black, I'd do it no question.

What do you guys think?

I guess you're right. I've also been thinking about painting the centers bronze and leaving the lips alone... don't know what to do.

I wouldnt do it, to me all of these new fads are exactly that.... just a fad. It will be played out to death and will just look silly a lil while down the road.

Keep it simple, IMHO nothing is as timeless and classy as a nice set of silver wheels.

Well I've always liked that style... back in 98 I was rockin some black wheels with red lips. It's just now, the wheels I have, have a huge lip, so I'd like to see what they would look like red.

use vinyl, people on bikes use stuff called rim tape, check it out, its better than having spend a couple hundred painting the rims and finding out u dont like it

That is a very good idea. I might try that out and see how it goes.

Ha... I'm not so worried about it anymore... well kinda. I got bored the other night, put them on, and went around the block. It's rubbing a little, and when I took the wheels off I saw a clean spot on my springs.... so the tires are also touching the springs.

I gotta figure out how I'm gonna get these wheels to fit, or I need to sell them.
