Enkei ZR1

Decided to use these as wheels for daily driver tires. 18x8, 40 offset. 20lbs. each.
Don't see many pics of these wheels on the board, so here's one which I snapped just after putting them on....

Edit:

Wondered what was up with the high stance in the above pic.
Pic above was taken just after letting driver's side car down from jack, also on a near empty tank. Took another pic this morning after filling up the tank.

ER?

Yup. Free crappy gift advertised on their site is a shirt. Only bad thing about buying from EdgeRacing is that I have to pay sales tax. Otherwise, great prices.

Thanks. Car sits on H-Techs. It looked lower with the stock wheels. The 40 offset (instead of 50 offset) made the wheel gap look larger (if that's of concern).
I have a before and after pic which I'll post up tomorrow.

Wondered what was up with the high stance in the 1st pic.
1st pic was taken just after letting driver's side car down from jack, also on a near empty tank. Took another pic this morning after filling up the tank with fuel.

What tires did you match them up with?

Thanks all.

I had a set of 225 45 18 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions sitting in the garage ($115 at TireRack is an incredible price), so I'm using them for street duty on the Enkeis, while a set of Dunlop Z1's are wrapped around the OEM wheels for track days. The S-03's wheel guard sidewall lip really covers the edge of the rim well on these- less worry about curbrash.
Now I can worry less about getting a nail or tire damage while daily driving (which is what happened to 1 of the S-03's a few weeks ago- sidelining them from track duty).

I'm looking into these... is that the silver, the hyper black or the SBC?

Ordering from edge racing, did you get hubcentric rings and TPMS? Centercaps and lugnuts?

PM replied.

Hyper Black is what I chose. Plastic Hubcentric Rings, Enkei centercaps and heavy, shiny lugnuts included. No TPMS- ask if it's available.

Edge has been great. I've bought from them a couple of times.

I've bought some metal hubcentric rings from 101tire in aniticipation for when the plastic ones melt to the hub (happens at the track- haven't seen any melting with street use). Also, got some lighter lugnuts for track days.

Sounds like they have a great deal going on there. $1360 shipped with fz452 for an 18x8 that is lighter then stock is a good deal. TPMS capable, they can have them added to the order for $95 each... or you can order them elsewhere and send them to them, or take off yrou old ones and send them in... good service so far.

Question about the rims: They are hyperblack. I have seen the stock pictures of them, but they look silver, or gunmetal. In person, how black are they? Is it just the way they reflect light or something? I read something about how hyperblack is a powdercoat multilayer process, and I know its not going to look gloss black, but I dont want gunmetal, black has gotta be black. And the rim is polished?
Thanks.

They are hyperblack.
The finish on the outer rim and the spokes is what I would describe as a shiny gunmetal look. The inner wheel is black. The effect is nice, as the wheels seldom look dirty- even when they're filthy.

When you say inner wheel, you mean the inside, or the non-face portions of the spokes too? Also, is the lip polished/shiny? It looked like it was on the enkei website but not on your car. Not to be a bother, I just like the spoke design, price, and weight of these, but I dont know about gunmetal on my car... I wanted black, not necessarily gloss black, but I either need light silver, or dark black. Whats your opinion for these on a dark blue/green car?

These images should give you a better idea as to what they look like.

The silver fades into black just beyond the ridge where the spokes tie into on the lip.

Did you install the TPMS sensors in the wheels? If so, how did they fit and do they work without any problems?
