Enkei Falcon

Thoughts? I was thinking of getting a set for the spring to go on my BB.

Not a fan.

It will look to dull on your car.

If you like enkei, check out the RP03, RPF1, NT03+M.

I'll take a look at those. I kinda wanted to stay with the solid 5 spoke though.

Nice. I was just wishing that such a product existed! I have to go though and clean up the finishers and exhaust in the spring, so I'll add that in too.

You can get that stuff at Autozone or Walmart or any automotive store really. If your plastic is too far gone though, Mazmart has them for pretty cheap. Definitely makes your car look a million times better to have new looking plastic all around.

I think I'm going to hit up the Enkei EV5 Hyper Black. They're pretty close to the RP03's, but a little closer to my price range.

Good job in swaying my decision everyone!

You should extend your price rang. Save up a bit more and get wheels that you will like for more than a month.

Same old **** as that other thread... you ask us for our opinion, we give it to you. We offer other rims that meet your criteria, then you go ahead and buy the rims you were going to get anyway. If you dont want our help or suggestions, why ask?

if thats all you have to spend I say powder coat your stockers and then when you get the chance later on purchase a good set of wider more aggressive rims

Actually, if you read closely, I never asked what rims to buy, I simply asked what people thought of the Falcon's because I was thinking of getting a set. Other suggestions were given and I took them into consideration.

I know what I like and was interested in what other people thought of the rim in question, not what other people thought I should get. There is a difference. That negative attitude was totally unnecessary.

Also, the only rim that "met my criteria" was the RP03 and personally I didn't like them that much, so don't get all up in my grill about rejecting suggestions. Yeah?

@rx8kush: You really should save up some extra money (at least 1000) and get some worthwhile wheels.

Wheels whose spokes are wider at the edge of the rim than the center look bad. Just a pet peeve of mine.

I do not care for the spoke design nor the holes for the lug nuts. They look like a design you will regret purchasing and then have trouble selling later so you can buy another set.

You could chrome out your stockers. Not sure what kind of process that is, or cost, but that'd be pretty sweet for a change from the stock aluminum.

All I see in those silver Falcons now is Mustang rims... its like something that can't be unseen. @_@

To stay on topic of the op.

I don't like them.

Reasons:

-The specs to the link that's provided seem too modest to justify it as an 'upgrade'. True it's a different look but 18x8? W/similar weight? i dont' see it as a step up. More like a lateral move IMO. It'll be only for the visual affect - in which case, you could just buy some strakes or something

-Design; don't care for them because the look has been played into the ground - i'd hate to rock a similar color scheme as a riced out civic or mustang. I'm not bagging on your taste in any way - i would just hate for someone to categorize your car with one of them. (then again, you could be like me and just not give a **** lol - but even then, it kinda irks a lil' bit)

-Cost; For the amount of money you spend making a lateral movement with these wheels you could've spent them some where else in performance that would provide you a greater benefit. (i.e. Accessport, better tires, midpipe/exhaust etc.). I figure if you're going to 'upgrade' make sure you're getting everything you can for your dollar - i'm certain you worked hard for it.

-Taste; I see that you just joined about 7 months ago. Not sure if you're a lurker but there are several threads on this forum regarding wheels. There are many different designs and makes out there with a very good price + we have some pretty awesome vendors on this board (Rishie @ autornd = awesome ) They can help guide you around. Even if you end up back at these wheels at least you'll get a feel of what's out there and what your options are.

annnnnd

+1 to pdxhak's statement

^Now that's good feedback.

I have indeed looked through a ton'o threads about wheels. The aggressive fitment thread was the first place I went, seeing as it was at the top and all. Though I kinda stopped when it was getting into the grossly exaggerated stretch stuff (not a fan at all of stretch). Checked out the Enkei owners thread as well to see what everyone else was rolling on.

To answer your sort-of-question, I will be buying new rubber with whatever rim I get as well. Hence the somewhat limited budget for wheels.

I by no means have settled on the Falcons, in fact I wont be getting these ones at all now. My view on them has been twisted and destroyed.

And off I go to look through more rims...
