What do you think about the brake pedal feeling? Does the pedal seems heavier or simply different? thx

Now I think of it after I have my AP caliper with ANOTHER cereamics brake pads.

I think EBC is slightly lack of initial bite - especially when it is cold. So it is when you press - you have to press brake further to get something. But when they warm up - the absolutely forceful (on the same spot).

The feel on full braking because it is kind of hard as a material - the pedal is firmer. Not much travel after that. That bring my question... does anyone thing they are seem to hard to control.

When a pad is good to control there are many degree of brake - you can use 1/3 1/4 or 3/4 but I found the red stuff only have 0, 1/2 and full on

It does the job and it stops well.

Thank you takahashi, what are you using right now as ceramics pads?
I am looking for ceramics pads since a while because I know they are almost dust free (and with my white rims is good), but I am concerned about initial cold stopping efficiency and pedal feeling. I am also fan of track days

I tend to agree with Taka. There is definately less control with the EBC Reds as compared to the OEM pads. However I think any pad that grips harder will have the same affect, ie pad bites harder faster and therefore leaves you with less travel to play with the grip.

I was never the best heel/toe braker, however at the moment its nearly impossible for me. But I think I will get used to it.

I still think that they are a far better pad than the originals in terms of stopping ability whether cold or hot. As I have said earlier, while the EBC pads are definately not as good cold as they are warm, they are better cold than the OEMs warm. Only down side is the squeal when cold. Would still love to compare them to another similar pad.

Overall, if you can put up with the squeal when cold I think you will get used to the new pedal feel.

Guess what, I am using a pad call SBS. It is from Sweden??? This is the pad that comes with the AP racing kit locally and they are ok. Beautiful initial braking and no dust. Force are good but it is prob due to the 4 Pot AP racing. I am ordering a set of Project Mu carbon metal with matching aluminum rotor ... for more track power.

Ferodo is worth trying too. EBC is not bad at all.

Thanks again, I was also considering Project Mu carbon metal brake pads. Where are you going to order these pads?

Local distributor in Australia. But you can order via Italy I guess. I am sure Swiss mod shop would have someone on the P Mu stuff.

Come to worse. Japanparts.com can help you. It may be too expensive. Only when you have a distributor that the price can come down. The HC+ is about AUD$300 and not much more than Japan price and even in Hong Kong. Say HK and Japan is $250

But I think if you are in Europe, get something that you can get regularly and do not need to order and wait for months. Try Ferodo or something.
