..... again this is Speeddemon32.....
They are Axis Hiro's 8"x8.5" with a 35mm offset.
225/40/18 (40? I think thats what they were)
took some pictures of the new wheel and tire. will post them soon. and yes they seem to fit with no rubbing.

i dont know. I know the team RX-8 guys run them on there STU car. I belive they are running 275 street tires. although I dont think they daily drive that car. I could be wrong though.
there is nothing stoping you from using these for every day use. tires are a little expensive though.

yeah, there would be no problem running 265's or 275's front and back on these. Even with Speed's severe 2 inch drop, there were no clearance issues with the tires. No more than his stock 225's. It is amazing how wide we can go on the 8...and they continue to fit.
We'll have to see how the tires handle under the severe conditions of autocross, but for daily driving, I would say a set of 265 street tires would be awsome. Just as an FYI, I believe the race tires are 285x30.....so keep that in mind when your looking at street tires.
edit....
oh, and there are center caps avaialble for these wheels, just don't need the extra expense on a race set. For street, you would probably want to cover up the ugly centers....

LOL, you and I are basically jumping back and forth between two threads on this subject.
No TPMS. If it can take them? I really don't know and didn't think to ask. Maybe call Goodwin Racing and ask them since they sell them.

glad I could help in your plunge.
on a side/related note. I weighed the new wheel and tire combo on the bathroom scale (yes I am aware this is not the BEST method)
from what I hear the stock wheel and tire combo is 48 pounds
Stock wheel with 245 race tire is 46 pounds (on my scale)
Enkei with 285 race tire is 41 pounds. (on my scale)
if the wheel is 17.2 pounds this means the 285's are roughly 23.8 pounds
