Do you like these RIMS on an LY?

I've been trying to find rims that I like on my LY '04. Currently running the painted stockers.

I like black, but not all black. I found these and thought they were pretty nice. Even better that I get to see them actually on an 8. The ones in the picture are 20's, I will be putting stock sized(ish) replacements on (actually I think they are 18 x 8.5 +45mm).

So...what do you think?

I'm biased towards Work wheels so if you like a busier wheel there's always the Work Meisters.
I'd recomend Work Emotion Cr-Kai's or Work Emotion Cr-Ultimate Kiwami.

Do you think a machined or polished lip would look better? Not a big fan of all black rims on a yellow car myself.

Yeah, I'd stay away from the black. It's well over played.
Bronze, copper or titanium looks the best IMO.

It depends on the wheel really.

im not a big fan either but do what you think looks good not what other people think looks good. it doesnt look bad imo just not my style. just dont be the person that puts ugly 20" chromes or black/silver 18 spokes on the car.

The ones in the original picture also look staggered. I would suggest not to go staggered, unless you don't care about handling. I am assuming that since you bought an RX-8, you care about handling.

There are other options of lightweight wheels out there. Stock wheels are about 21.5 pounds. I suggest finding replacement wheels that are lighter, or your ride will suffer.

Agreed but I am a fan of the staggered looks. You will have to consider tire weight as well

All right. Can't seem to get this look outta my head, as much as it repulses monchie...

Care to comment on this? Stock wheels, painted.

Bring it on!

If you used the LY paint code, it could work out OK. Masking consistently will be a problem though I think.

Ok, this is my last post on the subject. Well, maybe my last post... who the hell knows.
Looking for opinions from those with taste (as apparently I have none) to see if ANY of these rims look like good candidiates. Truly, bash 'em, love 'em whatever. Just want to see what you guys think (really). Just remember, my Mama has nothing to do with this

Those are fugly, and probably weigh 30lbs each. You should buy a Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300, paint it yellow, and put those rims on it.

Are you that sold on the yellow lip that you are willing to buy heavy *** wheels? Why not buy some lighter wheels and have them painted/powdercoated the color you want?

PS: Probably the ugliest wheel of all time....
