DiscountRimFinancing.com

I have a loan approval from discountrimfinancing.com but Im a little leary about buying from them. I wanted to see if any of you guys have purchased from them and what your experience was. The thing Im leary of is they do not list any prices on a single product they sell.

Thanks!

Talk about priorities, but financing rims?
Save up some $ and buy something affordable. Used sets are cheap. If you have to finance your wheels, I can forsee a bunch of other problems throughout your RX8 ownership.

ShellDude 08-06-2012 08:58 PM

replace "RX8 ownership" with "life" ;)

thanks for your advice but how on earth can you come to the conclusion that if I finance my rims that Im going to have a bunch of problems throughout my ownership? Thats kinda extremely rude and extremely uncalled for especially since you have no idea what my financial wellbeing is. Not that its any of your business but its not just rims im buying from this company but a whole bunch of stuff and their rates are cheaper then my credit card rates so how on earth you could say such a thing is mind boggling!!!

9krpmrx8 08-07-2012 01:05 AM

No, never heard of them. It's your life but financing stuff like that is a stupid idea. But everyone has to learn on their own.

you guys seriously amaze me here! you know absolutely nothing about my financial wellbeing and as i said above the rates to finance are cheaper then my credit card rates so how is that stupid. If your spending a couple thousand you only pay cash? I highly doubt it, I imagine more often you would charge it but why would I charge it when I can pay less by financing them along with a bunch of other items I need. I am a small business owner and do ok for myself and will have no problem affording my financing of rims and the other items I want.

My thread was asking about the specific company and if anyone has dealt with them. I dont recall asking for my personal business to be talked about. Id really appreciate it if we could stick to the topic at hand and leave my private matters to me. I thought this place was a little more mature then this!

9krpmrx8 08-07-2012 01:20 AM

I told you no, I have never heard of them. This is a public forum, if you post up about something you will get many opinions, even on stuff you didn't ask about. Deal with it or don't.

Thank you for telling me no and dont you think you coulda just left it at that? How anyone can say my financing rims, tires and audio items is stupid just shocks me especially without having a single clue about my financial well being. Maybe in your case it would be stupid but not in mine. If you guys were actually just trying to help then thats awesome but there was no need for being called stupid and having my priorities messed up. As far as dealing with peoples opinions Im pretty sure thats exactly what I have been doing this entire thread sadly enough,

How about we just leave all this BS alone and just stick to the original topic at hand.

Thank yoy

What are their rates?

they dont have set rates or they might but I havent seen them listed. Its all according to your credit score and what kind of deal you work out with them. I just recently found that info out. The reason for my initial post was because I was very leary about them because they dont list any prices on their website but that actually turned into a good thing for me because I was able to get a very very good deal from talking (haggling) (which I hate to do) with them.

paimon.soror 08-07-2012 01:40 PM

would it not have made far more sense (as much sense as financing a set or rims makes) to just go to your bank and get a loan? You do have a line of credit with them do you not? You have been a customer for years upon years I hope? Heck you could even get a fantastic deal at a credit union. Lastly, you do understand that you will more likely than not find yourself paying more for the rims in the end?

Jedi54 08-07-2012 02:28 PM

If you need to finance your wheels you can't afford them and shouldn't be buying them.

Bamsterman 08-07-2012 02:50 PM

The site doesn't even sell very good brands. Looks like Enkei is the only good one. I wouldn't trust em

Yes it does and thats exactly how the thread should have went the entire time.

Serious question here, why do a few of you guys have such a smartass tone with me and my reasoning for financing makes perfect sense for my situation. One of the biggest reasons Im dealing with this company is because they are giving me a pretty decent sized discount for being military. Its comical how some of you guys can actually tell me that I cant afford these if I need to finance and whatever other BS. First off why do you give a shit? All I wanted to know was if this was a good company. I then get ripped for how Im paying for the rims???? I certainly wasnt a smartass to any of you guys, I just asked you to leave my financial matters out of this and just answer a simple question if you knew about it and if you didnt then why post anything?

By the way I certainly can afford the rims but the financimg rate/military discount is cheaper then using a credir card for me. Why is that so hard for some of you to understand???!!! I cant beleive Im actually defending myself to you guys about this. As I said before if you were just trying to ask why and/or be helpful you coulda left the smartass comments out of it.

To you guys who were seriously being helpful, thank you I appreciate it and to you other guys is this really how you want to represent this website to a new member? Real classy on your part!!!

Chris 08-07-2012 03:55 PM

yikes, run away from that crap

RX8Soldier 08-07-2012 03:55 PM

Don't let things on the internet bother you.
IMO, you got your panties in a twist for no reason. If you stop taking it so personal, you'd actually see that they are/were trying to help you make a smart financial choice (we deal with a lot of kids on this site), regardless of your financial situation.

Besides, you didn't get flamed hard. It can get way worse.

monchie 08-07-2012 05:11 PM

I never heard about them, and i wouldn't buy from them. Stay out from businesses you never heard from.

If you could afford it, or if it was within your budget, why would you need to put it on a credit card or finance it? Surely that doesn't make a lick of sense.

Nah it's just the members that have been on here 24/7 for years apparently have lost a few screws in the head and enjoy the flaming of new members instead of helping, just to hide behind the "its a public forum deal with it" attitude... it's a shame really from what the site used to be. That said, it's a public forum so deal with it or don't.
