So I picked up a 2005 TiG RX-8 not too long ago. The previous owner fitted 18" Diablo Lionhart rims. They are the black with chrome lip:







Not really my first choice in wheels and I've been thinking of getting rid of them. They are in damn near perfect condition save for one 3/4" curb rash on the front driver's side rim and a VERY slight nick on the rear left passenger rim.

Apparently, these wheels are now discontinued. They seem to go for $350 to $380 a wheel or something. I halfway want to sell them. They aren't really my style and feel kinda bling-y. On the other hand... they are kinda growing on me.

So anyway, my questions are as follows. What do you all think? Too bling-bling SUV? Are these suckers heavy? (I can't find out online cuz my googling sucks apparently. I have no frame of reference either because the car came with these.) I would really like to get a set of the Five Axis Design S5:F. But I am hesitant to swap for something that'll just end up being more unsprung weight as I can't seem to find the weight on the S5:F's either.

The OE wheel and tire weighs around 50lbs so just take one of your wheels off and put it on a scale.

 

Seriously? Where are you located and what kind of condition are your wheels in?
