changed rims..TPMS question

Switched factory rims to my friends mitusbishi evo rims. I understand that you can reuse the TPMS but I was just wondering will the evo rims take our rx8 TPMS. Not sure if there is a difference in companies..

not sure since I've never owned an Evo.
I am assuming the Evo uses a TPMS system? If so, I don't see why it wouldn't fit unless the shape of the sensors is drastically different.

best way would be to look at his TPMS sensors and compare them to yours?

You didn't give us much info on the Evo, so I just plugged a generic into Tirerack and don't see that the OEM has TPMS sensors, but again I didn't have much info to go on. Whe asking a question it really does help if one provides all the relevant information.

But again, I'm pretty sure Amish rims don't accept any TPMS.

I guess then the only thing to do, as Jedi cited, is to de-mount one of the Evo tires and see if the rim has a recess acceptable for the RX-8 TPMS.

Note that there are right angle adapters available if necessary: http://www.iforged.com/store/index.p...45ae3d6317b015

As long as they're 315 MHz they should be fine. I'm running Tirerack model aok.

Or worst case electrical tape over the idiot light.
