Carbing Rear Lower Arm?
Finished installing my rear carbing lower arm and have a question, as you can see from the picture it is right up against the exhaust..I plan to get my exhaust hangers shortened to fix this problem...
For the time being, until I get around to adj my exhaust hangers, do you all foresee any huge problem I might run into?
The paint as you can see is already melting away on the bar...From what I hear the bar is indeed steel...

Wow that must be a 3 inch pipe you have going for the exhaust.
Another option is putting a spacer under each side of the bar but I see there isn't a whole lot of clearance between the bar and the ground.
It is lined up between the tires so as long as a person doesn't drive over the top of something it should be fine.

Yeah the exhaust is a 3"...Yeah I've felt a definate change...it's a bit to stiff out back for me now, so going to soften my rear shocks and bump my front PT bar down a notch...

maybe it's just me & noobishness but anyway I had to have someone hold & align my trailing arm while I aligned the carbing arm and put the bolt through...I wasted a hour of my time attempting this by myself

And not to mention how tight of a fit it is once you get one side of the bar hooked up I beleive install will be much smoother for ppl running stock height or a very conservative drop and ppl that have a stock exhaust or an exhaust thats modified to sit a bit higher up

take the wheels off and undo the shocks from the lower mount makes it a 1-man job because it removes all the pre-loading, I had a sumbich of a time when I didn't do it that way the first time, no problem the 2nd time doing it the way I described it
mine is up against my 3" exhaust too, it didn't have to be if I wanted to modify the pipe routing, just happened to line up exactly with the lowest point in the exhaust
