can this be true? tein s tech

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tein-...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone seen these on ebay yet? Or dealt with this company? Seems too good to be true.....I want a set of these for my 8, how does one tell if they are fake? I've never heard of a "fake" spring before. sorry if I seem a little noobish.....I am new...to this car.
Thanks in advance

Yeah, you have to watch for fakes. There's a few posts out there with the side-by-side comparisons of the boxes for the tien springs.

People make counterfit ones. One of the key signs is the TEIN label ON the spring is painted on or a sticker(fake). It looks like they have a close up of just that on the e-bay site. Their feedback is all pretty positive.

If you don't want to risk it(but that seems like a good deal if the shipping is cheap) AutosportStyle.com has them for 168 Shipped, they're worth it.

they may(?) be fake but the price is not, you can get the same authentic springs from a forum vender (free shipping i think) http://www.iptuned.com/product_p/skm58-aub00.htm

the box looks fake, and the TIEN printed on the springs looks like it might be a well stuck on sticker.

If I recall previous discussions, I don't think there's much market for RX8 springs so counterfeits would be less likely. I think you'd find them more prevalent in the honda/acura market.

Also, that vendor has over 5000 feedback on ebay so he's probably selling quite a bit.
