I'm interested in getting some Hiros, myself. However, on other forums they've (they as in all Axis wheels) have been called "butter-soft" and "heavy." I don't want to ruffle any feathers as I DO NOT have any experience with these wheels and these opinions are not from me but, has anyone of you guys had issues with the Hiros cracking, breaking, bending, etc?
I know the whole, "if you hit a pothole hard enough..." routine and I'm not asking if these wheels are impervious. Just from regular day-to-day driving and maybe an occasional track day? Any issues?
Thanks in advance...

Snowfl8k's Hiro's are in rather bad shape now..after an off-road excursion. The finish on the Hiro seem to be easily scratched. They seem sturdy enough though.

What do you mean, like on the polished lip? I've heard things like hot brake dust will mar them up pretty bad...is it fixable/livable?

Actaully, we kept them clean every week...so, never had problems with brake dust. The lips seem pretty durable...it is more the coating on the spoke portion of the wheel. Her wheels look like she drove past a stiff bush, fine line scratches everywhere. We will definately need to have them recoated...probably just have them repolished, or powder coated. Whatever is cheapest as it doesn't make sense to spend a lot of money fixing them as we bought them used off another member (the black 8 pictured above).
I'll see if I can find a picture of what the wheels look like now (later tonight from my home computer).

I really like those AXIS SHINE...Nice!<---(Borat voice).
2 questions for you
1. Does the TPS work with those rims and tires?
2. Your car's suspension is stock right?
Really like em, thinking about getting them.

Rolling the rear fender is not that tough. If you know someone with the tool, its pretty easy. But even if you don't, you can get a 3' length of pvc or abs piping from Home Depot for about $2.00. Then rent or get a heat gun. Jack up the car, heat the paint, and roll away.

Axis Shine
Actually, the TPMS DOES work on the wheels. I have a set of the Shine and TPMS installed and they work.

19" Axis Hiro's
8.5" Front 245/35/19
9.5" Rear 285/30/19
Toyo T1-R Tires
Rears rubbed for the first week or so but it eventually went away.
Also the wheels do seam to be a bit weak like you said, I do about 80% highway driving and the rears have taken some chips and small scratches over 10k miles. Never had a problem removing dirt though.

No rubbing and did not have to roll the fenders. As of right now, I have no drop on the car, but am planning when the funds are available to throw a espiler/koni or some coilovers on, so I'm not sure if it will rub after that.
