Hi guys, anybody know what brakes should i get for the 8? Im thinking of getting the brembo brakes (4piston) slotted/drilled...anybody know how much does it cost in AUD dollars? where can i get them in Australia?

Please recommend some brakes that you know which is also as good as brembo? Thanks

 

The stock RX-8 brakes.

Seriously - they are excellent brakes, even if they don't have a trendy brand name stamped on them. What exactly do you think is wrong or deficient or lacking with the stock brakes? Excessive stopping distances? Fade? Poor feel? FWIW, the stock brakes seem to excel in all those areas (Short, no fade, great feel). If fade is an issue, then it's the pad material, and a simple change of pads is all that is needed.

Many of the aftermarket kits don't give you a brake system that is as well-balanced as the stock system, so you'll actually end up with longer stopping distances!

I have the hawk brake pads & Goodridge brake lines. The biggest difference was the brake lines. If you are looking for Brembos, look at www.mazdatrix.com.
