Brake rotor problem
Brake rotor problem
Brakes first squeaky - now rotors are not running round anymore with 50% brakepads remaining!!!.
Mazda refuses to put new rotors in on their expense, suggests to machine the old ones, which will make the problem just worse, because the thinner rotors will warp even easier.
Car is 80% driven by a gentle lady, so no explanation for the rotor problems.
If anyone has similar issues, or can give some advice: PLEASE POST
Rx NOT SO XITED ANYMORE

Squeeky brakes on the RX-8 is a known problem addressed by the Service Bulletin "Squeal noise from front brakes during braking" at http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ins_index.html.
Warped rotors is a different issue. My RX-8 developed uneven braking at 7,500 miles and Mazda turned all 4 rotors. I then "bedded" the brakes (see http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml) and have not had a problem since. I never got a clear explanation from Mazda as to why a car with 7,500 miles needs its rotors turned.
