Brake Chatter

I recently replaced my OEM rotors and pads with EBC slotted & cross drilled and ceramic.

After about 3 weeks i now have a "chatter in the front. I know this for a fact as when i had the front wheel off to replace my plugs i just gave it a spin and could hear it make that sound. Same with the passenger side, which i believe is louder.

Yes, i have the shims and yes everything was given a nice coat of grease, etc. It seems to me that something may be keeping a little pressure on the pad, even after braking.

I did notice that one of the pins that has a rubber boot that is lubed, is actually frozen. It should slide in and out but it doesnt. There are 2 per wheel. If that helps any, as im not sure what the part is or what it is called.

Any help is appreciated. And if i can answer any questions to help, let me know.

Thanks.

I vote for the stuck slider that you described. You need to free up the slider that's stuck. The floating caliper isn't floating and that alone could lead to chatter. Combined with slotted rotors would only make it worse. See if you can work the slider out of its hole, clean the dirt and rust off of it and relube it so it works smoothly.
