^ Like he says. You attach the bracket with existing nuts.

It doesnt come with bolts. It does require some cutting (minor) and removing the stock spare tire kit if you have it.

Don't those actually hold the shock assembly at the top?

YES, you need those bolts with / without the spare. They hold that gold bracket to the shock.

Ummm... How the hell are you driving around w/o those bolts? Are you sure you dont have them there? You have to kinda move the carpet to see it completely.

Looking at the Shop Manual: the bolts are for the rear shock absorber bracket.

There are bolts at the bottom of the trunk that holds the strut in place but without the top bracket holding the shock absorber there has to be more stress on the lower strut mount. It will also effect the ride. Does it feel sloppy?

Wait a minute you are missing the bolts or the nuts?

There are bolts that hold the bracket in place (can't see them under the MS bracket in the middle).

It must be the nuts...

What happens if you dismantle the gold bracket? I debating on installing my Greddy shock tower brace because it doesn't fit flush unless it's removed.

Nothing will happen immediately with the strut if a person takes the bracket off but it ties the shock to the body at the top so a person would loose efficiency by removing it. Will cause more stress on the lower mount points if driven without it.

Effectively negating the additional strut brace because the shock will not be tied to body at the top the brace will do nothing. More than likely it will be less effective than keeping the bracket and not having the brace.
