Biggest Wheel Size possible?

This has probably been asked before, but do you guys think it would be possible to run 19" rims with tires of the same diameter as stock?

19's no problem, get 225/40/19, will give you almost the same circumference.

Check it out:

Bolt pattern has been listed on this forum, don't know off the top of my head, either 5x112 or 5x114.3.

Here's some installed 19's. 255/35/19

Given it's 114.3 then the offset for the picture above is probably 35.

i would expect 35mm offset to stick out more. maybe no. definitely needs to be lowered though.

expensive, but very nice. if you're looking for cheaper wheels, axiswheels.com has some nice ones with lips. the 3 pieces onces are not worth is, but they have some nice 1 pieces.

It's nobody on this forum. Much like the car itself, the rims look better in person than in pics. Style is big on my list, but I can't ignore weight. If I were to get rims they would have to equal are come close to the weight of the current stock. Many manufacturer rim websites hardly ever mention the weight. I was surprised at ZoominRex choice, after reviewing OZ website, they list the weight of those Superleggeras as 23lbs. Not bad weight at all, I could use some verification on this statement, but I think the stock 8 rims are still lighter something around ~20lbs.

23.6 lbs for 19x8's. God I love the deep dish look. These would look awesome on my Tit Gray 8.

The wheel wells look like 20's would fit, but what company even makes good 20's? Most of the good lightweight, performance wheels don't come larger than 19" or even 18" in some cases...

I love those rims but I will stay with 18s. 19in tires are more expensive because of the odd number. I was wondering if the superlegerra's wieght in 18in form

i would say it is 20" the bigest size.. problem with clearance thoug specially if lowered.. i would get 20s only if i was to change them, anything else would be a waiste IMOP ..1" doesn't really feel

Question Widest Wheel/Tire All Around for Rx8

What are the dimensions for the stock 18-inch Rx8 wheel? What's the widest I can go? I like the stock 18-inch wheel size, but I need more wheel width for mounting wider tires (track use).

I'd like to go 9 x 18, 43-mm to 45-mm offset BBS RGRs all around with 255/40-18 tires? The car is Winning Blue Metallic with black cloth interior.

FWIW, I don't like asymmetric fr/rr wheel/tire sizes. This will dial in more understeer (with bigger wheels/tires in back), and screw up the Rx8's superb handling characteristics.

Thanks in advance!

Manny the stock wheel dimensions are

18,8 +50 front and rear.

We're doing a setup of Work wheels in 19" on the rotarynews.com RX-8. We will definitely post the results after it's been done.

THe car will be on display at SS. I'll get my hands on a 8 at a dealership this week. Get my hands a little dirty and have a fitment guide for y'all real quick.

Peace.

Hey Rishie, just let me know what is the max width I can run all the way around for 18 diameters (SleepR1 fitment for Rx8 LOL ). Not interested in 19s at all. Ideally I'd do either 9s or 9.5s with 255/40-18 tires all around. Do you know if run-flats come in that size?
