Best way to touch up rim scrapes?
I haven't actually tried it but http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/949926.phtml is a pretty thorough how-to. Good luck and if you try it, let us know how it works, especially what paint you use.
If you look in the phone book you can find people that will fix and repaint your rims I have one that comes right to the dealership that will fix rims . You might ask your dealer to see if they use one ? for me they charge around $100.00 to fix 1 rim.

I cut a curb at the bank drive-up too close and scraped-up my right rear rim along about half of it's circumference. I was going to buy a fifth rim anyway, for a spare, so this gave me the excuse to spend the money ($497 + sales tax & $15 to re-mount the tire on the new rim).
While at the dealer getting the rims swapped, I noticed two other RX-8's in for service and both of them had all four rims scraped and gouged badly. They weren't there for new rims. Even the tech doing my job thought I was pretty **** about what he considered a minor scrape!
Anyway, be that as it may, I can sleep a bit easier at night and my baby has perfect rims once again. I'm sorry, but it really bothered me and I had to take care of it- Steve-O knows what I'm talking about.
The scraped one? Fortunately I run a pattern and mold shop for composite products (working on a Diasio body right now) and am fixing it myself.
First I used a die grinder and medium-grit disk to take it down to fresh metal, cleaned it with a solvent, then re-made the rounded lip with fine grained polyester filler. Sanding it out now, I'll take it to about 320 grit (used wet), then prime and re-paint. I'm having the paint made custom to match the rim. BTW, there is a lot of clear over the top of the color on the stock rim.
If I get a photo of the repair before paint, I'll post it.

I have successfully repaired my wheels with a metallic spray paint for BMW, called Arctic Silver. This color is a perfect match to my wheels. This paint is available at Halfords in Ireland and the UK but don't know where in the USA you might get it. Try a BMW dealer, i guess.

Their are spray cans of chrome available but I have no experience of them and don't know if they are suitable for car wheels. For example, http://www.duplicolor.com/products/gold-chrome.html
You would be better having the chrome wheels professionally repaired, I think.
Google 'spray chrome' for lots of links you can check out.

A friend has used the spray-on-chrome on a part of his motorcycle. It looked great for a while, but eventually took on a yellowish tint after it had been exposed to the sun and weather for a couple of months.
I suppose you could just re-sand and re-spray two or three times a year, but that's a pain.
