bent a rim

I hit a major pothole on the way home and tweaked the outer rim of the wheel just enough to be noticable but not enough to scuff the finish. It looks to be about 1/8" out.

I'm going to try to straighten it back out with a block of wood and a 3 lb hammer tomorrow, think it will work? It didn't seem to affect the ride of the car but its bugging me.

I'd recommend that you take the rim to a rim refinishing shop. But you can still do that after bashing it for a while.

I took the wheel off and checked it over- its a very minor bend, but almost impossible to bend back. I'm looking for a replacement wheel and I'll send this one to a pro.

i bent a rim going over some "city *******" they have here in Dallas/Fort Worth ( you know those plastic marker bumps that are like 6" high).

No visible damage but anytime I went 70-80+ miles an hour my whole car would vibrate BADLY.

Discount tire had a deal where you give them the old damaged rim and they give you a used/repaired OEM rim.

any bent rim clubs lookin for a new member?

i also bent one... it just pushed up my timetable for some aftermarkets... any suggestions? i'm diggin either the black kazera KZ-A or the Motegi, don't remember the model but they look like blades... both black, would look pretty hot on the black cherry.

before anyone jumps on me; i've read all the wheel threads so it's pretty much between those 2... they look pimp, not too expensive, hopefully durable enough for PA roads

my only problem is i like black so its a tough decision :p
