Axis Hiro's on Titanium! :-)

Well, finally decided the weather is getting better. So, I put on my Hiro's. They are 19x9.5 and 19x8.5. What do you guys think?

If your car was a woman, I'd take her out to a nice seafood dinner, dancing, <fill in the blank>, AND I'd call her the next day! :D

Very nice! I think if I went to aftermarket wheels, that would be my choice. Go Ti!

They are the best looking wheels on an RX8 , hands down! (biased opinion )

How do they compare as far as traction with the turbo kit?

Well, I of course have summer high performance tires on them. So right now with the temp around 50deg F traction is pretty poor since the tires don't hold heat well in this weather. I drove on my winter wheels/tires this morning and it's light and day after putting the Hiro's on with summer tires.

The Hiro's with tires mounted weight less than my winter wheel setup which was 18" wheels. I can sort of notice that in acceleration. I'm saving almost 5lbs per wheel with the hiro's compared to the Mille Miglia EV-R's that I had on there before.

As far as traction with the turbo kit... There is so much more torque that you can go sideways in 4th gear with the tires cold.. but you learn how to massage the throttle to keep the tires locked to the asphalt.

Jon--What do you mean the weather has gotten better? There's still snow in those pictures! Crazy fanatics we are I like those rims--I think they look best on black, not so good on silver, as I've seen them posted here, and very nice on the ti gray, as you have.

BTW, is that your garage in the background of the first pic? Looks like a tight squeeze!
