Can't the dealership disable it? I thought I heard that somewhere.

The dealer will not touch the sytem, TPMS will be a fact of life on new cars.

I left my car sitting for a week, cranked it up, and without moving it the light came on. I drove it to the gas station (the light on the whole time), turned it off, put air in the tires, cranked it back up, and the light didn't come back on. I'm not sure if they are activated by tire rotation.

 

I thought about this once before, they transmit on RF and they transmit, presure, air temperature, and work with the rest of the systems in the car in conjunction with the wheel speed senors.

So based on that its my impression that a PVC tube at 32psi will not work, but its still worth a shot. The idea I had was to record a 5min session of RF frequency that the senors work on, while on the highway in the city stop go etc....

Then play that signal in loop over and over again to "fool" the TPMS, but what i discovered is that no one makes a device to record RF band singal let alone play them back.

If anyone is aware of such a device and its small enough to keep in a compartment let me know.
