Anyone tried the Koni orange / STR.T dampers?

So i am interested in picking up a daily driver RX8 and maybe doing some SCCA C-street autocrossing (not competitively against the NDs or FRS/BRZ, but for fun). I've read that the koni yellows pretty much require removal and disassembly in order to adjust. I would probably just set-and-forget anyways if that is the case. That makes me consider buying koni yellows for the front to be able to increase rebound for more turn-in understeer and slalom stability as needed and maybe just run oranges in the back since i won't be tuning on the fly with them anyways.

folks claim the koni oranges are like yellows set to full soft. So just checking to see if anyone has run the oranges. i had the koni STR.T orange dampers on my 2006 NC miata and the ride and handling were very impressive, even with stock springs, but RX8-specific feedback would be nice.

been pushing them, but nobody ever bit that I know of. No direct experience myself, but the concept is simple enough. This pretty much tells you what you need to know

Depends how serious you want to be for competition purposes. It’s likely a good choice for the value, but don’t underestimate the value of a fully tunable shock in the right hands. Not everyone necessarily has a handle on how to extract that particular value though.

Sorry for not following up sooner, will try to get back to you soon if you can be patient.

thought I shot my mouth off too soon, every place was showing backordered/out of stock, but finally found and bought a set on TireRack last night.

have been on sale for ~$100/110 each, mid-$90 each on Summit Racing with a Feb/2022 ship date
