Anyone know the temp rating of stock brake pads?

Is a pad with a temp rating of 0-400F an upgrade? Thanks.

I think the stock pads were rated around 400C and the MS ones for 600C.

400F is a low temp pad. race pads are often rated between 1000F and 1600F. but they dont work hardly at all at normal temps.

low temp is appropriate for street use as they wont munch your rotors, will stop the car when below 500 degrees, and wont squeal like a stuck pig at every stop sign.

a high performance street pad will have a range on the order of 75F to 800F
