Help Please with any pics of the spare tire?

My car came without a spare tire instead just an inflation pump kit and i've always wondered, where it would have gone if it had come with it.

my brains fried, does anyone have any pics of the spare tire and where its stored?

would thank anyone who can post a pic.

Question Don't know if I like mine!

I bought my 8 used and it came with the optional spare. I don't have pics but I can describe it: It kind of hangs under the luggage shelf at the top of the trunk. It's fairly large diameter so it obstructs the trunk access bigtime as well as makes anything forward of the well worthless! I'm playing with the idea of using it only for long trips so I can actually haul a large bale of TP home from Sam's not to mention getting even moderatly sized boxes thru the opening.
It also has to do bad things to the center of gravity setting up so high although it's kind of neat to be able to check its air pressure from the back seat.

Two questions:
1) Can you get one golf bag in there with the spare tire?

2) Is it easy (quick) to remove the tire if you need the extra storage?

It's really easy to remove the spare but you still have the bar in the way for any actual improvement in trunk space. I've removed the bar as well (took less than 20 min.) and love the extra space AND access. I know I can always get the spare quickly around town so (ironically) I'll install the whole rig again when we go on road trips.

Thumbs down

I'm going to pull mine so I can install the stock tower brace. And it definately takes up a lot of space. The thing I dislike the most is that the pass through is absolutely useless. If I had done some research I would not of paid the extra money. Just like the moonroof visor, which I decioed looked like crap and removed it three weeks after I bought the car.

I took the kit out and threw it in the garbage. Stupedist thing I have ever bought for the car. I just throw the spare in when I leave town.

Idid no throw the kit away, but never installed it. The spare does fir nicely in the bottom of the trunk, and is easy to take out if more room is needed. Have not had a problem with the spare sliding around.
