In the rear . . .

Tires - 285/35/18
Wheels - 18" x 9.5", +45 mm offset

Connor at TireRack doesn't know whether these will fit - I'd like to try but as soon as I drive with them I can't send them back.

Anybody actually measured? Have opinions?

(and no comments on how staggered is bad, or these are too big - I owned an RX-7 with a single turbo and 265s out back - car melted them through 4th gear - I've already ordered the GReddy kit and plan to modify it extensively, so I need some grip in the back).

i think mazdatrix runs this size...but with a +45 wheel you're pushing it.

I have 265/30/19 on 35 mm offset (I have the RB springs though). At 275 they said it would rub.

nm, i thought he meant on all 4 corners. 285 on a 9.5 +45 should be ok in the back

fanman, you risk rubbing on the outside. with a +45 it's the inside he should be concerned about.

I have no concern about rubbing the outside - the stock diameter is slightly larger than the diameter I plan on running - so it should just stick out past the fender if its going to stick out in that direction.

are you saying a +35 would be a better offset then?

no, stick with the +45...there's more room on the inside then the outside. you want to keep as close to OEM offset to maintain optimal suspension geometery.
