19x8.5 +38mm- tire size question
 

Hey all,
I've searched into the many threads, and have gathered that (feel free to give input)- 19x8.5 with a et 38mm should fit on all 4s.

I'll be dropping the car with the MS springs/struts (.8'').

couple questions-

-with the small drop, I should have no rubbing right?
-should I get 245/35/19s, or 255s?

Avoiding rubbing is my biggest concern, so I'm nervous to go 255s all around, though both the 255 and 245 would keep the speedo within 1 percent (.02 for the 255s, .08 for the 245s)

thanks for reading another fitment thread, I actually only found a select few who have this exact setup, but never found one with 255s, hence the post. The closest I found was someone running volks with 255s, but the offset was +40, and I'll be at +38mm.

19x8.5"/255/35 +40 no rubbing. Dropped with Tein Flex.

some guys are running 275's all around on their cars with their wheels having a +45 offset. i think that the 245 or 255 tire will work perfectly with your +38 offset

I've actually been to this site and used it to calculate offsetts and speedo accuracy ...but I noticed for the tire guide you can't really punch in rim width (only tire size vs. stock tire size).

and for the offsett guide, you can't do the tire size. So I'm just trying to get a 'real world' view. If there's more I can do with the site (like using rulers and going out to my car and info from the site) I'll be happy to take some more advice!

any pics of the front wheel area are really helpful-

how much is your car lowered?, definitely no rubbing right?
(I'll have the exact setup, just 2mm different (et 38) in offsett)

I have no issues with full turns in the front. The only issue (rear rub) I had was hitting a good size dip doing 75mph with the stock springs and shocks. After switching to the Tein's it does not happen. I should mention the car has not been on the track so no rubbing on the street.

The out of the box drop with Tein Flex is 1.5" F and .7" R. I had the car corner balanced and requested they lower it an additional .25". So depending on what they did to balance the car, it should basically be 1.75" F and .95" R.

cool thanks- what do you mean by "good size dip" :) sorry to be so anal, just triple triple checking before I fork out 1K or so plus in tires:)
