19x10.5?!?!?

Hey guys, I'm just about to order my volk GT-S wheels and I wanted to order 19x8.5 with a 235/35 and a rear 19x9.5 275/30.

My question is if I could fit the 275 tire on the 10.5" rim since the rim is still narrower than the tire, just barely.... I was going to order the rear in a 37 offset so its both available in the 9.5 and 10.5 so either way the tire is going to rub.

Some tire companies say you can fit the 275 tire on the 10.5 but these were going to be wrapped in T1R's from Toyo and their site only says you can fit a 275 on a max 10 inch rim.

I think that the 4.2" lip rear would look really good but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why exactly are you putting on tires that rub? I can't see the point in that, especially since it's a safety issue.

your cutting it close even with a +37, you will also have to cut away every mm of inner fender and also run a -2 or a -3 of camber in the rear. Also say good bye to your tires!

well, i figured that alot of people here have run a 275 rear tire and it does slightly rub. I was not going to lower the car for a while but I was going to roll the fenders as far as they would go. The only part im concerned about is the fact that the 275 tire is meant for a 9.5 rim. Would it look really stupid or cool on a 10.5 rim? I know that the 37 offset is a bit aggressive for the rear but i've seen other guys run that or a bit lower too.

Well technically, you can fit 10.5 on 275/30. They're rated for widths 9.5-11".

Stick with the 9.5 or 10 " wheel and get as close to 45mm as you can.

9.5x42mm
