19" TE37 Offset
Hello guys and gals,
I have done the search and still no closer to the answer to my question so please bear with the title that, I know, has been posted before. Has anyone fitted TE37 19x9.5 all round? What offset? Any pics? Any issues? I am going to whack some white TE37's on my WB to start the new year ;) Already dropped ~ 2" with some coils... Any help much apprecited!! Maz |
there are 3 offset options in the 9.5. I will need to find out which offsets are to clear big brakes, have bigger lip, or possibly concave face.
+43 for big brakes, i know that one. +44 and +45 are also options. You got em all. Let me know when you're ready and i'll see if we can get you the best price. thanks, rishie |
Thanks Rishie!
The look I am going for is to have the rims sit flush with the fender F & R. I understand that this increases the chance of curb rash but its the price I must pay. I am starting to think I have this all wrong  what I want is to have the rims as flush with the F & R fenders as possible. Am I right to say that regardless of the offset the front lip remain in the same position? and the actual hub will appear to be further in, ie concave? In terms of buying....I am ready now :) Let me know what you can do. Thanks again. Maz |
for the front you can go w/ a +43 offset, but the tire may rub the inside when u turn the wheel all the way. similar to 19x8.5 +30 but may rub more depending on tire size.
for the rear you can go with a +34 offset, but you will need a fender roll or fender shave, or else you will rub very badly. those are the most aggressive you would want to go. |
which TE37 colour u want :)?
|
brilliant white :ylsuper:
|
Thanks NgoRX8! I dont want to go too agressive as you said.
Surely there is a proven offset choice for these rims? Is there no one out there with 19x9.5 TE37's on there RX8? |
i believe, not on the front. most people with te37s on their rx-8s go 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear.
|
wow ok...any reason for that? comestic?
having re-thought my strategy I might just end up going with 8.5 all around...I will do a search for fitments but if anyone has front and back offsets for the 8.5 post em up along with any pics!! thanks as always! merry christmas from Oz... |
All three should fit OK.....only 1mm each difference. Like Rishie said...you will need to look at the dish profile as well...but all three should be OK offset wise.......

you might be able to pull of 19x8.5 +30 all around. there is a chance for rubbing in the back, but it will go away with a fender roll. front is as i said before.
it would be a nice mix of looks and performance. |
i am running volks with 19"x8.5 + 30 all around. i have rubbing in the front when i turn the wheel and rubbing in the back on big bounces or with heavy cargo, 3 passengers. I think in the near future i want to go to the proper offsets, +37 i think or +40 but still sticking to the 19"x8.5 all around. i might go with the LE37t with a gloss black spoke
|
get the rear fenders rolled lesper!
+35 on 19x8.5 TE37 is going to clear w/ no rubbing issues. but +30 is for the move aggressive look. |

i don't know if this help, got it from Ings website :)
WHEEL : RAYS / VOLK RACING TE37 [ F 19 X 8.5J +22 R 19 X 9.5J +34 ] TYRE : BRIDGESTONE / POTENZA S-03 POLE POSITION [ F 235/35ZR19 R 245/35ZR19 ] |
yeah yeah but that still doesnt solve the front
|
front is not really a big problem is it? i mean its not tearing anything. just the tire rubbing against the plastic and it isn't all the time either. i wouldn't worry about it. the rear is more of a problem because the fender is being stressed.
FYI- no one should do the ings front offset. you will get annoyed by it immediately. the rear is fine, but i dont think they fender rolled as they put more camber instead. |
^ yeah i'm not really know much about it,coz i'm with 18' ;)
|
19x8.5" +38 all around, 245/35 tires; perfect fit with no rubbing:

clean ride! looking at your car, +35 should fit no problem.
|
i'll be back in the office on the 2nd. Happy new year and merry xmas. Don't fret my friend. A GREAT FITMENT IS THERE.
In 8.5 with stock fenders in the rear you shuld be able to go down to a +33. Up front i'd say nearly the same. +35 to be safest. Rishie |
Oh and to answer your question about the face of the wheel I would have to explicitly ask Mackin to make sure. There's no real way of telling from their offset chart.
Peace, rishie |
niceeeeeee they are very nice white rims to go onto a WB!! Thanks to all you guys for posting your know-how and experiences!! +30 seems like it wont suit my setup...i already get annoyed with how low the car is on some of the roads here in Syd which are well :spank: I think I am settled! +35 it is going to be!! :) (thnx NgoRX8!!) Whitehot....damn nice ride! Rishie, I'll wait on you mate :) Thanks again guys! hope you have had/are having a fantastic Christmas and all the best for 07!! |
HERE'S MINE
19X 8.5 FRONT + 30 19X 9.5 REAR +34 https://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c...BBX/PHOTO6.jpg |
Nice ride
The back is 275 ??? Can you send picture from the back of the car ?? |
the rears are 275...had to get a fender trim so there is no rubbing at all, not even with a packed car with luggage in the trunk

I wont be going the staggered setup but the front +30 are tempting :) any rubbing issues there? Also the Toyo T1-R's are the tires I have singled out at the moment...how are they fairing? Thanks! |
yup, deedubb is the reason i know the +30 will rub. i've heard it. it was more so when he didn't have an alignment because it also rubbed near the outside plastic. but now he only rubbs when the wheel is turned all the way to the side. it's not bad though. + it looks sick!
|
definitely looks cool!
thanks Ngo I'll have to have a think about that... |
yes the +30 rubs inside only when completely turned in, but its really not that bad. The rears no longer rub at all after the fender trimming. I've had my car packed with 4 people and junk in the trunk and it didnt rub. A good suspension setup also plays a role there.
The T1R's are awesome! I would highly reccomend them as well. |
What are ideal tires size with this setup? From what I have been reading most people have gone staggered?
I wouldnt mind putting 255's on the rear...I assume that I will need to go 19x9.5 to achieve that. Any thoughts? |
Ok I have done some research that might be of use...
Ferrari website: Width of the tyre, quoted in millimetres is also dependent on the width of the wheel. If a 240mm wide tyre is mounted on a 7" (25.4 X 7 = 177.8mm) wheel, there's excess of 62.2mm or in other words, 31.1mm shoulder on either side of the wheel. It's considered a waste because the excess sidewall height will actually 'squirm' under pressure and more often than not will slump...no good for handling. Rule of thumb, a maximum of 15mm shoulder per side of the rim. Not only makes the car/wheel and tyre combo look good, but also the handling's affected if you put too fat a tyre on a 'slimmish' wheel. This site, apart from being a great source of info, says that 255 can be fitted on 8.5. The Toyo website also says this so most probably that is what I will go with. NOTE: Those wanting any sort of information on tires the above link is absolutely fantastic! Oz road regualtions, in my state, also mean that my choice for staggered are either 255/35 or 285/30 :Eyecrazy: so 255 it will be :) So final set up will be...drum roll please...19x8.5 +35 - 245/35 R19 all round :ylsuper: 255 if the fever takes a hold of me in the future  Thanks again guys! |
FWIW I run 19x8.5/255/35 +40 offset all around and it is the closest you can get the OEM setup.
|
hi guys,
stupid question...on deedubb's wheels there is a significant dish on the rears whereas on whitehot's there is not... is this down to rim width (9.5 v 8.5), offset, or a combination of both? has anyone got a pic of a 19x9.5 TE37 +43? I would like to see the dish on those... help much appreciated as always!! |
Its a combination, but lower offset will get more of a dish or lip. I know on some of the wheels there is an option for the spokes to look more flat or more concave ("face 1" or "face 2"). Not all wheel models have this option though. I think for the TE37's it just depends on the width and offset.
|
thanks whitehot!
|
tyes the dish will depend on the width and offset for the same type of TE37. deedubb has a 19x9.5 while whitehot has 19x8.5. also the offset is lower on deedubb's too.
|
so i take it i will get a dish with 9.5 but it will potentially be 1cm less than deedubbs (34 v 43 offset)?
|
An update + a question :)
Final stats on what I purchased: Rims size - 19x8.5 +35 (F) 19x9.5 +43 (R) Tire size - 245x35 (F) 275x30 (R) (Toyo T1-R's) Tires have arrived!! rims have arrived but are with customs ;( soon to be with me though!! Now for the question :scratchhe With white rims comes the unfortunate issue of brake dust  I will be rectifying this (as much as possible) via some new break pads... So far I have settled on EBC Green Stuff pads...has anyone had any experience with these? or can recommend any other street use low dust pad? Thanks as always! |
according to the mackin industries te37 chart, i'd say 19x9.5 +44 all the way around would be the safest bet. it may not be as aggressive, but still have a decent size lip. the +44 should come with a low pad, meaning you would not be able to upgrade to a big brake kit.
the +34 would work as well, but you're talking about serious fender modification to avoid rubbing. especially with a 2" drop. you'd probably have to stretch the hell out of the tires as well. like a 245/40. it all depends on how agressive you want this thing to look. all in all, i think you should go with a 19x9.5 +44 all the way around. safer, decent size lip, able to put on appropriate tire sizes. |
yea, what the above posters said..haha

Any thoughts? auzoom from down in aussie section is currently running 19x8.5 front and 19x10.5 rear not sure on tyre sizes, maybe askin him he did have to roll his guards tho reason most ppl go staggered is its "cool" |

There doesn't seem to be much you can do about the brake dust besides washing the wheels more often. It takes a lot of work to keep them clean (and its probably why you don't see too many cars with white wheels). Washing my wheels takes longer than washing the rest of the car. Using some sort of quick detailer spray wax seems to help a little. I'm still experimenting with different products to find what works good.
Oh yeah, and make sure to post some pictures! |
thanks whitehot...
yeah that was what I was thinking as well :) oh well a bit of elbow grease to keep that grin permenantly affixed to my face seems a fair trade-off :hahano: pix will definitely be posted :ylsuper: thanks again for your help! |
well i've owned several sets of aftermarket rims on previous cars and the te37's are byfar the easiest to clean!! i just use normal auto soap and water, and i use tech wax on every part of the rims except the inside. nice and smoov
|
Well the time has come for the unveiling!

Now all i need is the pads and i am off to get em fitted!!! I cannot wait to see them on the car :) PS: apologies for the qual of the pix...camera phone :) the rims are indeed white lol |
hotness!!! :score: can't wait to see it on your 8 :) congrats!!
