I went with the skinnier tires so I can drop the car quite a bit. The 265s that I test fitted would have required alot of fenders mods to get the drop I want and fit correctly.
I'm at a +43 offset and with these tires I can get to a +38 offset and still be comfy and not have to modify the fenders. With these tires I would assume you could get a 3"+ drop on the car.
When I go to the Stance's, I may get a set of 265s and go to town on the fenders to get them to fit with the big drop.
Everyone that has seen the car so far thinks it looks good and fits right. I know I could have gone wider, but for the deal I got on the 245/40s I wasn't going to worry about it

Also, for being a 18x10 they are just about the same weight as stock or maybe 1lb heavier.
I will also have some crappy cell phone pics here in a bit.
O and the TPMS fits and was working earlier, but on my way home the light for the TPMS came on, but the tires are all at their spec'd air pressure

Are you running only 10's in the rear or all the way around? Also, why aren't you running a tire better suited for a 10" wheel, like 275/35's or something? Just a thought I was having...kinda bugs me when I see skinny tires on wide wheels. Just my opinion...
Now that I have run 275/35's for a while now, I don't think I could ever go any smaller. My next set are gonna be 285/30's on Enkei RPF1 18x10's but I'll be rolling the fenders and losing all the fender lining. Nice wheels BTW.

I have 18x10s all around. I ran the 245/40s for the time being to see how they do with the drop I have planned. When the drop is done and if I see that I have room, then I will be getting bigger tires. I was told that with the 18x10s I would be limited to a 265/35 as the biggest so I figured I'd start in the middle before jumping straight to 265/35s and finding out they wouldn't work with the drop I have planned.

Now here is a debate.
I either take my current 225/45/18 Exclaim's and put em on these wheels for the time being, and save up for a set of RT615s in 265/35/18s
OR
buy a cheap set of dunlop 8000Es and run those and then get the RT615s next spring
The stretch is very minimal.

615s ARE cheap tires? I'd say get those as STARTERS and move up from there..

Whoever is giving you tire sizing advice should be fired. 275/35-18s are a tried and tested setup run by a lot of people here and they don't rub even at full compression. Some have run 285/35-18s without issue on the 18x9.5 +45 Enkeis.

Fierce tires is a BFGoodrich subsidiary company.
I'm still debating on keeping this size or not.
I don't think a 275/35 would fit at all with this setup. Nuke runs a 265/35 with mostly stock alignment settings and I think the 275/35 would maybe fit with major roll/pull and some camber.
I can't even imagine a 285/35 fitting on this setup, but i don't know.

I'm running 275/35's all the way around with TEIN S-techs and have no rubbing issues what so ever. No fender pulling or rolling and I'm running a conservative track alignment.

If your going to keep running a 245 you should have just bought some 8inch wheels instead. This is like jacking off when you could be *******.
