17X9.5 Enkei NT03+M, yes or no?

I'm looking to buy a set of 17X9.5 ET 40 Enkei NT03+M wheels off a local Evo 8 owner since he's going to 18s'. Right now they have a set of 275/35/17 V710 tires on them but when I finish those off I'll probably get some 255 or 265 street tires and put them on for autocross next season.

Does anyone know if there will be any fitment problems of this wheel on a bone stock RX8? I will be getting either konis or coilovers before next season as well and I wanted to know if a wheel this wide with this offset will rub the fenders/suspension with a slight drop. Car is an 05 sport 6spd by the way.

Also what's the narrowest tire you can run on a 9.5" wheel, 255?

I know it will fit because iv'e personally seen a few rx8's running 18 by 9.5 enkei rpf1 with no problem. Those would be great autocross wheels. But depending on how low your car is you may rub with those size tires on. I love the way these enkei look by the way, might be a good idea

The wheels I'm picking up are 17" instead of 18" but same width and very close to the same offset. My car isn't lowered at all but I do eventually plan on getting a set of coilovers (flex/jic/kw v3) etc so I will just keep it at a reasonable ride height.

Is it safe to run a 245 tire on a 9.5" wheel or is that stretching it too much? I'm trying to find the most popular/wide size for a 17" wheel that will work correctly with a 9.5" wheel but still be cost effective.

They will not fit without some serious fender modding.

The 18" RPF1's you see out there are a +45 offset.

I do however have some SPECIAL OFFSET NT03+M's for the RX8 coming in early next month.

17x9.5 +44 offset and will take to those tire sizes very wheel. It's what I intend to run on my 8 for track if they will clear my brakes.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'll give em to you for a spanking deal.
