1.0+ G on a skidpad???

I am intresting in improving my 8's overall handling; height cosmetics or bumpiness dont affect my comfort but I don't want the handling to be so extreme as to damage other parts of the car.

I have researched a bit and found 2 setups that I think I might like.

The Mazdaspeed setup; the springs, swaybars, shocks, and strut bars.

or

RB springs, KONI shocks, RB swaybars, Autoexe front/rear shock tower braces.

Which of these setups would be the better handling upgrade? Or would there be another alternative for about the same price of $1.5k?

Of all the setups that are currently in production for the RX8 (no custom job), which, if any, do you think would allow the RX8 to pull 1.0+Gs on a skidpad?

Sorry, I don't really know too much about suspension. Just trying to get some good advice on my first upgrade.

Much obliged

I beleive the RB suspension takes you from .89g to .91g. Adding the KONI's and strut bars may bring it up a little more but I don't think you'll get 1.0g without some very sticky tires.

^i've seen some varying skidpad tests on teh 8...that is what racingbeat states btu i saw a mag from europe that states teh rx-8's skidpad test is .95..lill higher than what rb tested (whom i trust)...but who knows.

sticky tires woudl be the best thing to do to improve your skidpad test :D

Skidpad performance only indicates lots of grip and not necessarly a well handling car. You can achieve high skidpad performance with fat sticky tires. If you only planned to drive around in a circle really fast this would be a great way to tune your suspension.

It is but one piece of the puzzle.
