Won't even make a sound!!

My 2004 RX8 won't start. When I turn the key, nothing happens. No noise, no clicking, nothing. The dash warning lights come on. Everything electrical is working, the headlights come on and are strong. I make sure I have the clutch pushed all the way down when I turn the key, but nothing happens. I have tried using both of the keys that came with the car. When I put the key in ignition and turn the key to on, the security key indicator light comes on for 3 seconds and then goes off as it is suppose to when the key is ok.

I have tried eveything I know of to get the car to start. For the heck-of-it, I tried jumping the car with cables, nothing.

The same exact thing happened a month ago. After turning the key several times, the car turned over and I immediately took the car to the dealer. They kept the car all day and could find nothing wrong.

Now, the same thing is happening and I am probably going to have to have the car towed back to the dealer.

Any ideas or suggestions??

Immobilizer? Blown fuse? Dead starter? Hard to say.

is it a manual or an AT?
Sounds like,,,,
Manual, clutch depression safety switch malfunction. Wire came off? bad switch?
AT, shifter in gear? Neutral safety switch?

Can you roll-start it with the key on?

I had it towed to the dealer this morning. They called a few minutes ago and told me the problem is with the clutch switch. Evidently, the switch is broken and the car can't tell that the clutch is pushed in. They have to order the part. Luckily, the car is still under warrenty and all is covered. Even the tow.
