Vac leak

Right so i got my rx8 the other day, it all drove fine and everything was good. As it hadnt had a decent service for a long time i replaced the coils, plugs, leads, oil, oil filter and also cleaned the air filter. I started it and took it for a drive, and all was cool.

Next day i drove it and noticed it had a whistling noise as i accellerate, after some research i read that it normally means a vac leak it drives find but the gear stick now has a very slight wobble. So i poked around for a bit and noticed the noise was coming from the right hand side of the engine bay (as your in front of it) i couldnt find where it was coming from. But since i have noticed that my brake pedal has a slight air sound to it, so this is saying to me that its definately a vac leak.

Since this has started happening, i have noticed that it does not make the noise at all when its cold, only when its warm. So does anyone know of any valve etc that opens up when the engine gets warm but not when its cold?

Many thanks for any help

rhys

From: A Pacific Island.
Check the nipple under/behind the throttle body, hose comes off and it whistles.

Hi thanks for the reply, i have checked that one and it is on there securely, it definately seems that some valve opens when warm and thats when it leaks
