Question Under rocker panel repair

Anyone know if this part can be taken off? I want to try to pull the dent out this weekend. Is this a replacment part or is it part of the body?

I am almost certain it has to be pulled, shouldn't cost much though.

Had almost identical damage to my gfs car. It was about 400 bucks to get pulled and painted at Maaco, but rx8 paint is more expensive unfortunately.

I was hoping the oem side flares would be able to hide it. I think the dent might be to far forward though.

Not sure, I bought the car that way. What is really embarrassing is I didn’t notice it until I got home.

There are full length side skirts, but not sure if it's your cup of tea.

These Series 2 Mazda ones are really expensive though. Each side is about $700 MSRP (prepainted).

I'd go aftermarket if going this route. The OE prices are silly.

These look decent.
